Help make a difference on World AIDS Day
World AIDS Day on 1st December is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, showing their support for people living with HIV and also to commemorate people who have died.
It is also an opportunity to help raise awareness of HIV and funds that go towards supporting people living with HIV, their partners and whānau.
How you can support World AIDS Day
At the time when HIV numbers are at their highest ever, the work of volunteers and supporters on World AIDS Day is both significant and much needed. It ignites hope that as a community we support one another in staying safe.
There are several ways you can support World AIDS Day:
- Register to volunteer as a World AIDS Day collector.
- Donate during the annual street appeal on Friday 25th November in Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch, or Thursday 1st December in Auckland. Look out for collectors on the day and drop a gold coin or two in the collection bucket.
- Take part in the World AIDS Day Bake-off.
