Tips on ordering successfully online

Complete all steps in the ordering process in one session. The ordering system will not remember your order if you stop or exit before the process is complete. You will receive a message if you have not completed any step correctly.

You will receive an online message after completing all steps that your order has been successfully submitted. If you don’t receive this message then your order has not been submitted.

The current online ordering system requires a postcode. Contact the WebMaster if you enter a postcode within the CHIC coverage area but get a message that you are outside the coverage area. The Webmaster can then add your postcode into the ordering system.

• Use the NZ Post Address and Postcode Finder to check your postcode.

Finding the resources you need

To find the resources that you need, you can either do this by subject or category or by using the search function.

Posters and resources designed for use by Health Professionals (such as midwives or doctors) are listed under subheadings within each subject or category where applicable.

• Download the latest CHIC Stock List with all the current free resources available to order sorted by subject.
• Download the CHIC Order Form to order by fax or mail, or for larger quantities of resources. Now a fill-able PDF!

Using the site search function

There are several options you can use to find the resource that you need:

• by keyword or title (such as pregnancy, eating for healthy adults).
• by Ministry of Health or Te Whatu Ora code. Just enter either the HE or HP code in the Keyword box (for example HE1256 not 1256).

Ordering if you are elsewhere in New Zealand or Overseas

If you are from another region of New Zealand

If you are from another region of New Zealand and wish to order Ministry of Health resources, you need to contact your local Ministry of Health resource provider.

• Find your nearest NZ Ministry of Health Resource Provider (HealthEd).

Some resources produced by Community and Public Health are available to those outside our coverage area. You need to pay for these items including a postage charge.

If you are from outside New Zealand

If you are outside New Zealand, you have limited access to the resources CHIC has available. You will need to pay for these items including a postage charge.
